Mangaluru, June 19, 2026: As part of the celebrations of the 12th International Yoga Day, Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital, Naringana, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-I, organized a Yoga Awareness Campaign at Manjanady and Natekal Junction on 19 June 2026.
The campaign was conducted with the objective of spreading awareness among the public about the importance of yoga in maintaining holistic health and well-being. BNYS students actively participated in the initiative and interacted with members of the community, highlighting the numerous physical, mental, and emotional health benefits of regular yoga practice.
During the campaign, students educated the public on the role of yoga in stress management, disease prevention, improved flexibility, enhanced concentration, and overall wellness. The programme also emphasized the significance of adopting yoga as a part of daily life to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Ajith K, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer, Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital, Naringana. His leadership and encouragement played a vital role in the successful conduct of the awareness programme.
The campaign received an encouraging response from the public, who appreciated the efforts of the students in promoting the message of yoga and preventive healthcare. The programme served as an effective platform to reinforce the importance of yoga as a means to achieve physical fitness, mental peace, and social well-being.
